On its label it is depicted the Town Hall of Offida, where, in ancient times, the governor of the city resided, and he was called Podest\u00e0; the name of the wine comes from that. Podest\u00e0 is produced only in the best vintages, with grapes that are selected and hand-picked by expert winegrowers; afterwards the wine is aged in 5000 liters barrels for a period of 24 months and then refined for about 6 months in bottles.
